Media Architecture
“Media architecture is a combination of disciplines like Architecture, Urban planning, Digital media, Design and art.”
Media Architecture refers to build structures that incorporate media -in any form- to facilitate communication with the public. It is an emerging field that continues to evolve as technology advances such as sensors and screens, sonic, visual, and tactile interfaces, materials, and displays, and data capture and display in the built environment.Media Architecture includes, but is not limited to,urban screens, media facades, public projection, augmented reality, interactive multimedia installations, digital signage and wayfinding, and the physical, social, political, and technical systems and infrastructure that support them.
